How do you find caregivers?

Since we’ve been in the area for over forty years, many of our caregivers come to us through word of mouth. We either know caregivers personally or know someone who can vouch for their reputation and work ethic.

Many of our caregivers are retired school teachers or nurses, while others are recent college graduates or currently pursuing a degree. Most have years of experience as private nannies and/or in corporate infant nurseries and childcare centers. Many offer academic tutoring.

How long will it take to find my caregiver?

It normally takes 6-8 weeks from the day we receive your application. We stay in close contact with you throughout the process.

What happens if the caregiver isn’t a good fit for my family?

We offer a generous 6-month replacement option. If a nanny is unable to fulfill her commitment within the first 6-months of employment, we assist you in locating a one-time nanny replacement at no additional charge.

If you need to utilize this replacement clause, we treat your family with the utmost priority. Our number one goal is to know you are 100% satisfied with your caregiver.

What makes Ghent CareGivers different from other placement services?

Our caregivers have a genuine love and commitment to the well-being of their families. They have a reputation of going above and beyond a family’s expectations.

A support system is also in place for families and caregivers long after the match has been made. Our quarterly workshops provide continuing education. We require current CPR and First Aid certification, and we provide these classes for both our parents and caregivers.
